Women folk constitute more than fifty percent of our country's population. There, no programmed of education, how so ever comprehensive, can be turned unless & until it takes into its fold the major part of population. While the efforts were made to deracinate Technical Education among male discipline girls were kept out of the sphere of technical education,particulary from Associate engineer Diploma level.

It is envisaged to introduce 3 year D.A.E Courses.

The Government Polytechnic Institute for Women offers 3 years Post matric science Diploma Courses in Garment Technology, Computer Information Technology, Electronic Technology its rnain aim is to provide education to the students to enabling them to fill in gap between Professional Engineers & the skilled or semi skilled works. The students will be prepared to meet both present & future requirments of specific occuption in production, supervision system design salo sevices similar areas.
