Sewing Lab

GPIW Facilities rank superior in the College with professional equipment and teaching space. Spacious construction classes, a computer lab, lecture classrooms, and a study collection/resource room are all available to students for work, research, and study.
Learn sewing techniques needed to sew with knowledge and confidence. Course is designed for beginners and will provide a practical introduction to sewing. Skills will be developed with hands-on experience in basic sewing methods and operating a sewing machine. Students will make samples and create a notebook to use as a reference throughout the program.
Knitting Lab

This laboratory is equipped with both warp and weft knitting machinery. Warp knitting machinery includes both raschel and tricot machine and weft knitting machine include circular (single jersey, interlock, rib, jacquard) and flat knitting machines.
The Knitting Laboratory was designed to fit the educational needs of our students and to conduct applied research. It features state-of-the-art circular single knit machines, a step jacquard and fleece machines as well as rib, interlock, double knit and pantyhose machines. Warp knit fabrics can be produced on tricot, raschel and weft insertion machines.
Drafting Lab

Designing pattern making planning layouts, cutting, manufacturing dicplay andpresentation techniques are taught to students during thiscourse.Extensive practical training is also imparted in repair and maintanance work of complicated and modern machines of multiple nature used to big clothing factors.
Pattern drafting has never been easier to understand as Sally breaks down each skill, including how to
- calculate your personal measurements, ease, and stitch patterns
- create a pattern for an existing garment that you love
- shape a variety of necklines, shoulders, sides, sleeves, and hemlines
- combine garment elements for an endless array of design possibilities
General Engineering Lab

The GPIG has dedicated labs to support current needs of our engineering program. These include:
- Electronics Engineering Lab
- Computation & Design Lab
- Industrial Automation & Robotics Lab
- Power Electronics & Drives Lab
- R.T.V lab
General Engineering workshop and Electronics workshop equipped with requisite tools and implements provides basic facilities for project work. The workshops cater for machining, electrical work, metal work, carpentry and PCB fabrication requirements.
To provide a solid foundation of practical knowledge to the engineering students, the labs are equipped with required workstations, test and measurement equipment, trainers, tools, components and development kits.
Science Lab

This three year diploma program is designed for students who enjoy scientific research and laboratory analysis.
The diversity of courses provides students with many career options upon graduation. Employment may be found in the quality control industry, research laboratories or product development.
You will begin by studying the basic sciences, math and the techniques and procedures for lab analysis. Considerable lab exposure together with the accompanying theory, provide experience in hands-on research. As you progress in the program, you will study Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and have an opportunity to work with state-of-the-art instrumentation.
